Atal Bihari Vajpayee Dead: Former Prime Minister passes away at 93
Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee passed away today in the evening just past 5 pm, He was 93 years old and his death was confirmed by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
Atal Bihar Vajpayee was undergoing treatment in AIIMs from several months and since last two days, he was on life support.
Yesterday prime minister Narendra Modi and Union minister Smriti Irani met Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Former prime was admitted in the hospital since 11 June when diagnosed with kidney tract infection, chest congestion, urinary tract infection and urine output on the lower side.
The 93 years old former pm who were suffered from diabetes and one functional kidney.
He had suffered a stroke in 2009 that weakened his cognitive abilities.

Shri Vajpayee was admitted in AIIMS on 11.06.2018 and was in the last 9 weeks under the care of a team of AIIMS doctors.
Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated over the last 36 hours and he was put on life support systems. Despite the best of efforts, we have lost him today.
We join the nation in deeply mourning this great loss.”

Know about Atal Bihari Vajpayee
Vajpayee was born to Krishna Devi and Krishna Bihari Vajpayee on 25 December 1924 in Gwalior.
Vajpayee did his schooling from the Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Gorkhi, Bara, Gwalior. Vajpayee attended Gwalior’s Victoria College (now Laxmi Bai College) and graduated with distinction in Hindi, English, and Sanskrit. He completed his post-graduation with an M.A. in Political Science from DAV College, Kanpur, and was awarded a first-class degree.
He is an Indian politician who twice served as the Indian prime minister. He was a member of the Indian Parliament for over four decades.
He was the first non-Indian National Congress Prime Minister to serve a full five-year term.
He was awarded with Padma Bhushan in 1992 and Bharat Ratna in 2015 as well as achieved few more awards.
